The service
Tell Me Family runs AI voice interviews and turns them into recordings, written stories and PDFs. You must be 18 or older to hold an account.
Consent is your responsibility too
Only invite someone who can understand what they are agreeing to. Only record people who have agreed. Laws on recording differ by state, and some require everyone in a conversation to agree. The recording consent screen is shown to the speaker, but you must not get around it or complete it for someone else.
Your content
Recordings and stories belong to you and the person recorded. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service. The person recorded may remove their answers at any time, even after a purchase.
AI output
Transcripts and stories are produced by AI and can contain mistakes. We check drafts for details that weren't said, but you should read the story before sharing it. You can edit it.
Payment and refunds
A story costs $49, charged once. There is no subscription. The free interview is limited to one per account. Ask within 30 days of paying for a refund. When it is processed, paid features end, including downloads, editing and share links. Your recordings stay available for listening until you delete them. If the person recorded deletes everything, you can ask for a refund within the same 30 days.
Gifts
A gift is paid in advance and the invitation is sent on the date you choose, to the address you enter. Please check the address. The recipient isn't obliged to take part.
Acceptable use
Don't record anyone without their agreement, use the service to harass or deceive anyone, or try to break it or get around its limits.
Availability and liability
We work to keep your recordings safe, but please download copies of what matters to you. The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the past 12 months.
