Recording consent
Version 2026-11-01.
Nothing is recorded until the person speaking has seen this and agreed. It is written for that person.
What you agree to
- You are taking part because you want to. Nobody is making you.
- Your voice will be recorded.
- An AI asks the questions. You are not talking to a person.
- Your words will be turned into text and written up as a story.
- The family member who invited you can hear the recording and read the text, and can share the finished story with others.
- You can stop at any time, take back any answer, or delete everything.
What happens to the recording
The recording is stored privately for the account that invited you. It is sent to the companies that turn speech into text and write the story, listed in the privacy policy. It is not used to train AI models. We don't create a voiceprint, identify speakers or clone anyone's voice.
Things you'd rather not discuss
Say so, and the interviewer changes the subject. That answer stays out of the story and is hidden from the family member's view.
Taking it back
When you stop, choose "Change or delete what I said." You can remove single answers or everything. Removal deletes the audio and the text straight away. Backups are cleared within 30 days.
What we keep
We keep a record that consent was given: the date and time, the version of this text, your internet address and your browser type. It contains nothing you said, and it stays after deletion as proof of consent.
If someone can't agree for themselves
Please don't record anyone who can't understand this page, or who hasn't agreed. If several people are in the room, everyone who will be recorded should agree.
